This concept, known as transactive memory, highlights how technology has become an extension of human memory.

One point that stood out to me was the discussion of attention. As someone who works in a fast-paced environment and is also completing college coursework, I often find myself switching between emails, online research, and multiple assignments. While this makes me feel productive, the article suggests that frequent multitasking may reduce deep focus and make it harder to process complex information. It reminded me that efficiency is not always the same as learning.

Instead, they remember where to locate it. Overall, I believe the internet has transformed human cognition in both positive and negative ways. It has expanded access to knowledge, improved communication, and made learning more convenient than ever. However, it also requires us to be intentional about limiting distractions and practicing focused thinking. Finding a healthy balance between using technology as a tool and maintaining strong cognitive skills is essential for success in both professional and academic life.
